Sony officially unveiled its new, most compact premium smartphone, the Sony videography of the highest level.
More than a simple Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia 5 V asserts itself as a tool for capturing content. Something notable and very evident in the official presentation video, with the brand’s branding and the importance given to research in image processing and capture. There is, however, much more beyond this photographic department that is worth knowing about the phone.

It has a camera for the most demanding users. Now, as we mentioned above, the Sony Xperia 5 V is placed in the segment two compact range modelsideal for those looking for a more compact but extremely powerful smartphone.
In particular, a compact phone that shines in the photography department. Something that Sony has never hidden and now, in this Sony Xperia 5 V, we have a main camera with 52 MP resolution and 1/1.35” focal aperture, while the auxiliary sensor has 12 MP and a 1 /2.5”. We also have a front camera with 12 MP resolution and a focal aperture of f/2.9”.

The new “compact and powerful” smartphone maintains the austere and traditional design of Sony smartphones. It also brings us a screen 6.1 inches diagonal with technology OLED. Its resolution is 1080p (Full-HD+), with a high image update rate up to 120 Hzin addition to the 21:9 format.
On the other hand, the processor of the Sony Xperia 5 V is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s best chipset in 2023, an almost mandatory choice for any top of the range. To this are added 8 GB of RAM memory e 128GB of internal storage expandable via microSD memory card.

The announcement of this new Sony Xperia smartphone was already expected, with several leaks of information preceding its arrival. It is, in any case, a “specialized tool” and a product for a more select target audience who are looking for image quality similar to what we find in their most advanced and professional cameras.
The new Sony Xperia 5 V also has a 5,000 mAh capacity battery with 30 W fast charging. According to the brand, in 30 minutes of charging we have up to 50% of the battery charged, although the charger has to be purchased separately .

This same Android smartphone will arrive in three color schemes, black, light blue and white / gray, with a 3.5 mm audio jack port, in addition to IP65 / IP68 certification that protects it from water and dust. The phone itself weighs 182 grams, with the following dimensions: 154 x 68 x 8.6 mm (height x width x thickness).
Finally, according to Sony itself, the new smartphone with Android 13 will hit stores in December. The recommended retail price is 999 € to Europe.
