It is also already being tested in a version with two electric motors.
Twice over the past 24 hours, Electrek was lucky enough to gain access to photographs of a pre-production Tesla Cybertruck prototype, which in one case even revealed a nameplate indicating the presence of two electric motors as part of the power plant.

The main revelation from the point of view of appearance can be considered the first clear photograph of the “engine compartment”. Apparently, in the serial version, the owner will only have access to a relatively small luggage compartment under the hood, covering the technical contents of the body with a plastic casing. On the one hand, the “front trunk” turned out to be quite wide. On the other hand, the threshold is made quite low, and after sharp maneuvering, a poorly secured load will tend to fall out when the hood is opened. Perhaps Tesla will provide some kind of nets for securing cargo in this compartment, or third-party accessory manufacturers will do this.

A look at the interior of the car from the driver’s door allows you to understand that in the production version the pickup runs the risk of retaining an unusually shaped steering wheel, which is something between a traditional steering wheel and a “steering wheel”, which ultimately did not take root on the Tesla Model S and Model X after restyling.

The center console has two cup holders, presumably an armrest-covered storage box, as well as two recesses for storing smartphones. As a rule, modern electric vehicles combine them with wireless charging pads. It is obvious that Tesla has long abandoned the early idea of making the center console transformable into a third seat for the middle passenger.

The last photo allows you to evaluate the profile of the rear seats from afar. They are made quite prominent and are not inferior in quality to the front ones, as far as the images allow us to judge. Let us remind you that the ceremony for presenting the first production Tesla Cybertruck pickups should take place before the end of this month or next.
