The Google calendar, or simply Google Calendar, is one of the most powerful productivity tools you can use on a daily basis. Whether it’s for organizing work, family or even leisure commitments, the tool continues to improve day by day.
Totally free and with more and more functions, it is no coincidence that many users consider it the best possible way of organizing, to have everything on their Mac, PC, as well as Android and iOS smartphones. Now, however, he wants to “give a hand” to those who use Microsoft’s Outlook, another of the most noble work and management platforms.
Outlook users can schedule appointments in Google Calendar
Briefly, Google Calendar is a real-time scheduling service, a virtual calendar that we can have on all our mobile devices and computers. Whether it’s scheduling an important lunch or a work meeting, we can do it quickly and in a very customizable way on this platform.
However, until now it was not one of the easiest tools to integrate with Microsoft Outlook, another of the heavyweights for work in 2023. Now, however, we are aware of a major update for the service that essentially extends its availability and integration.
We now have both platforms working together to make our lives easier. In practice, as soon as the new Google Workspace update reaches all users, life will be simplified when creating new schedules through Outlook.
Update brings more integration between Google and Microsoft platforms
It is important to note that until now it was not possible to directly create appointments from Microsoft Outlook. Something that forced users to switch between platforms to carry out a very common task in the workplace.
Furthermore, if a specific Outlook user is invited by someone who uses Google Calendar, their name will be visible among the users present. In short, we have full commonality of functions between both platforms.
It should also be noted that, to have this function present, all you need to do is update the Google Calendar application, available through the Play Store for free. The update continues the previous efforts of both companies to improve the way their respective services communicate and work together.
It’s easier to avoid overlapping events in Outlook and Calendar
We remind you that last May useful functions such as the synchronization of invitations and responses were introduced for users who have and use both Outlook and Google Calendar.
Now, in the same sense, we will have the possibility of collaborating more easily between users of both platforms, with the technological platforms promoting a more productive and complete user experience.
