Elon Musk praised Burning Man, although he once again put himself in an awkward position by ignoring the latest events at the festival.
“Burning Man is unique. It’s hard to describe for those who have never been there. The best art on Earth,” Musk wrote.
The current desert festival ended in tragedy – thousands of people were stranded in the Nevada desert due to torrential flooding, and one died (although the reasons are not attributed to the weather).
I’m currently stranded at Burning Man, along with thousands of others.
Despite the unexpected challenges, some artists managed to put together an impromptu catwalk show. The “I’m in the mud” show is a metaphor for trying stuff and always learning.

It’s interesting that Musk left his comment under a video that had nothing to do with the festival. The video shows a fragment “from the Balengiaga mud show” at Paris Fashion Week, which another joker decided to caption:
“I’m currently at Burning Man and, despite unexpected challenges, some artists managed to organize an impromptu fashion show. I am deeply inspired by the ingenuity of this community.”
The social network itself added a note that the video was not about the Burning Man festival, but Musk seemed to ignore this.

Due to severe weather conditions and the tragedy, the festival was suspended, although it was planned to open on Monday morning. According to the Burning Man website, the festival is “a temporary capital of community, art, self-expression and self-reliance.” The six-day event in the Black Rock Desert was scheduled to run from August 27 to September 4.
