Netflix does not want to stop in its series of ambitious productions after the enormous success of the live action One Piece. This time, we will not talk about a live-action series, but about another adaptation of one of the most beloved works of the new millennium: Scott Pilgrim takes the leap.
Until now, both the video game and the film directed by Edgar Wright tried to capture what was seen in the comic created by Bryan Lee O’Malley. According to the producer BenDavid Grabinski through the Los Angeles Times, the anime will be the definitive version of the work.
“Our goal was to make something that, if you love the books or the movie, was really surprising and you realized that it was the ideal version of what we could do. This could be the first version of Scott Pilgrim for many or a version more for someone who knows it very well; we want it to be entertaining and attractive for both audiences”
Being an anime, the creative freedom that the producers, the director and its own creator have had has been amazing. Recently, we also reported that throughout the series the protagonists will be delved into, with Ramona Flowers having an important part in the plot, in addition to a much more developed background for the ex-boyfriends.
Furthermore, it is important to note that this anime will be directed by Science Sarua highly respected studio in Japan that has been responsible for the most extravagant works of Masaaki Yuasaa Japanese artist famous for his unconventional series that have conquered international audiences. Scott Pilgrim from El Salto will arrive exclusively on Netflix on November 17, 2023.
