The repeated classifications of Minecraft in the next-gen version for Xbox Series
The Redmond giant, however, specified in a note to Eurogamer.net that the ratings received by the game “they are not indicative” of the imminent launch of a next-gen edition of Minecraft for Xbox Series it is not foreseen “in the next future“.
“Given the number of platforms and regions in which Minecraft is available, evaluations and updates are periodically made by various regional bodies,” a Microsoft spokesperson said. “This recent rating is not indicative of any new releases or platform support (Xbox Series X|S) for Minecraft in the near future.”
Predictably, the reply it didn’t make Minecraft fans happy, who were already anticipating the arrival of an updated version of Mojang’s successful title. However, it cannot be ruled out that a technical update may arrive sooner or later. Of course, however, we know that it will not arrive “in the near future” and that we may have to wait a little longer.
