Acting President of the Ukrainian Athletics Federation and People’s Deputy Olga Saladukha explained why she did not vote on the amendment to immediately open the register of electronic declarations.
“Regarding yesterday’s vote in parliament for the resumption of mandatory declaration.
Firstly, I fully support the openness of the register of declarations and the corresponding amendment to bill 9534, which was considered in parliament yesterday.
Secondly, I could not attend yesterday’s meeting for a very good reason. From August 1st I have been on official leave due to pregnancy and childbirth. The first weeks after the birth of a daughter are the time when the child requires maximum attention, warmth and love.
Thirdly, as soon as family circumstances allow, I will again join active parliamentary work in the session hall. I hope this happens as quickly as possible.
