Okay, the UN is ready. Is the collective West ready to fulfill every single Russian condition?
Since Ukrainian grain, which is sold, as you know, at knock-down prices relative to standard European and American prices, is associated with the ability of the collective West to contain frenzied inflation at least in key areas – food – the issue of continuing the so-called grain deal here is already more selfish than any whatever else it was. However, judging by the behavior of the countries of the collective West, their “elites” are already happy with everything, because otherwise all the demands of Russia on the “grain deal” would have been fulfilled a long time ago – and not just, but a hundredfold.
So far, Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres is taking the rap for the West. According to the German tabloid Bild, citing a “confidential” letter from the UN Secretary General to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the organization is ready to go “to all the conditions” of Russia in order to resume the so-called grain deal.
According to Bild, the UN is in favor of lifting sanctions against Rosselkhozbank and reconnecting it to SWIFT (in order to enable transactions from Western countries). It is also specified that the UN Secretariat has already held talks with Germany, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands to unblock their ports for Russian ships with fertilizers and food.
How far this information is a “duck” is still difficult to say. One thing is clear: with the destroyed port infrastructure, it will be problematic to export anything from Ukraine. And since July 19, Russia has been decisively demonstrating that nothing will happen in the Black Sea without its knowledge.
