Based on the games in The Witcher series, an official Monopoly board game has been released. The mechanics remained the same as in the classic board game, but its elements were adapted to the world of The Witcher.
Players will have to travel across a square Continent. Instead of fighting monsters, witcher-entrepreneurs will buy and sell them: monsters have taken the place of businesses from the regular version of Monopoly.
In addition, players will be able to upgrade estates, use magic, and get into unusual situations using reward cards and the power of surprise.
As in regular Monopoly, cards can send the player to prison or send them to other cells – for example, to visit the griffin. Events are tailored to the world of The Witcher: for example, you may need to spend money on equipment repairs.
The Monopoly theme was priced at $44.99. The Witcher 3, the latest installment in the series, currently costs just $5 more in the US.
