Streamer and Youtuber with 17 million subscribers shows his viewers why “Baldur’s Gate 3 is by far the game of the decade” while playing Starfield

Since its release, Starfield has continued to be compared to Baldur’s Gate III, both titles being Western-style role-playing games. Today, one of the most followed streamers in the world is entering the debate and he is not going in with the back of the spoon.
The Baldur’s Gate III vs Starfield debate is far from over…
Initially scheduled for August 31, Baldur’s Gate III preferred to be released a month in advance, on August 3, to avoid a confrontation with Starfield, Bethesda’s space juggernaut. Thanks to this decision, the game from Larian Studios was able to reveal its full potential and conquer the hearts of players and critics, with a Metacritic score of 96… which makes it a serious candidate for GOTY. Obviously, since we are faced with two very different visions of Western role-playing, players cannot help but compare the two to determine which is better.
Recently, Shroud, the ninth most followed streamer on Twitch, gave his opinion on the debate live on Starfield. And definitely, his preference leans in favor of Baldur’s Gate III, as you can see in the following excerpt:
(In Starfield) if you say to yourself “oh, I wish I could do it this way”, there’s little chance you can do it the way you would like. That’s why Baldur’s Gate III is by far the game of the decade because this game really says to you, “Oh, you want to do it like that? Go ahead, you can do it like that.” There were only two occasions in my 80 hour playthrough of Baldur’s Gate III where I said to myself “Oh, I wish I could do it like that, ah but I can’t”, only twice! All the other times I was like “Oh, I really want to do it like that” and the game said “Well guess what, do it like that”. Baldur’s Gate III takes video game choices and surpasses anything I’ve played in my life, it’s truly amazing, it’s truly an exceptional experience that you will never forget while playing it.

Millions of players on Starfield and Baldur’s Gate III
If streamer Shroud’s choice leans more towards Baldur’s Gate III, that does not prevent players around the world from trying both games. Proof, Microsoft has announced that more than six million players have jumped into Bethesda’s latest space production, while five million have fallen for BD3. So you can enjoy two good games without necessarily needing to constantly pit them against each other.
