Ubisoft expects big things from the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The studio is now devoting more resources than ever to these projects, working on 11 games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, including Assassin’s Creed Red.
With Assassin’s Creed Mirage already going for the gold, Ubisoft is gearing up for the highly anticipated adventure in Japan. Assassin’s Creed Red is now fully playable, according to new rumors.
According to Insidergaming, more detailed information about Assassin’s Creed Red is expected in the first months of 2024.
The possibility of a full playthrough already indicates that Ubisoft has spent a lot of time working on the upcoming release, and this will allow the studio to have several months to polish the game to perfection.
Assassin’s Creed Red is slated to release around the holidays next year, in line with Ubisoft’s announcement that the game will launch next year. However, as is the case with other Ubisoft projects, the release may be delayed.
While not much is known about Assassin’s Creed Red, leaks suggest that it will feature two playable characters – a male samurai and a female shinobi.
The shinobi is expected to be more agile, and both characters will use different attributes and weapons to create different playstyles.
It is further reported that Ubisoft is going to bring destructible environments to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but these mechanics will be limited to small objects.
The game is expected to take inspiration from Splinter Cell as it emphasizes stealth and the destruction mechanics will allow players to dynamically interact with obstacles in the environment.
The latest information gives even more reasons to be excited about the release of the next version of Assassin’s Creed. Fans can also expect Assassin’s Creed Mirage to release in less than a month after Ubisoft recently pushed the game’s release date to October 5th.
