Update 93001 has been released for Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. This update brings a number of balance changes, improvements and bug fixes. However, the most interesting aspect of this update is the addition of two classic Age of Empires campaigns in the Return of Rome DLC – “The Rise of Egypt” and “The First Punic War”. Along with these campaigns comes a brand new Return of Rome event.
In the Rise of Egypt campaign, players will follow the creation of the Old Kingdom of Egypt and master the skills and strategies that will allow them to lead their civilization to victory across 12 scenarios. Each scenario is designed to help players master the basics and practice a specific skill, including exploring the map, building an economy, and even converting enemy troops.
In the First Punic War campaign, players will control the mighty Carthaginian Empire in its war against the aggressive Roman Empire. Three epic scenarios challenge players to repel the Roman invasion, destroy their supply lines, and build a monument to the power of Carthage.
