The next franchise to join the almost limitless number of Monopoly spin-offs is The Witcher. Monopoly: The Witcher is now available for $44.99 from publisher The Op.
The fantasy franchise, originally written by writer Andrej Sapkowski and then made famous by a series of excellent games and Netflix shows, has taken its next stop on the road to full commercialization. In addition to providing lore-appropriate card names, Community Chest (Reward) and Chance (Right of Surprise), players will compete to buy, sell, and trade iconic monsters from the franchise such as Brooks, Leshy, Witcher, and more.
The rules of this edition of Monopoly are the same as any other version: bankrupt your opponents and be the last one standing. However, as a special edition, this version comes packaged with its own Witcher-appropriate tokens, including Kaer Morhen, the Burning Book, the Crystal Skull, the Lute, and Roach on the Roof.
Here’s what’s included:
1 Witcher Monopoly game board 6 collectible tokens (Crystal Skull, Burning Book, Kaer Morhen, Lute, Roach on the Roof, Swallow) Witcher banknotes 28 ownership cards (locations – monsters) 16 Chance cards, renamed “Right of Surprise” 16 public treasury cards renamed “Reward” 32 houses 12 hotels renamed manors Dice Rules
