Logitech has introduced an ergonomic Reach webcam, which comes with a special tripod that allows you to conveniently adjust the position of the camera and adjust its viewing direction. The manufacturer claims that the new product is perfect for demonstrating non-digital content, such as books or handwritten text, as well as making presentations and video calls.

Reach uses Logitech’s already-released $170 Streamcam webcam, which can shoot 1080p video at 60 frames per second. It has autofocus and supports 4.3x zoom. However, the key feature of the Reach is its articulated tripod.
Initially, Logitech was going to offer only a stand as a new product, allowing customers to choose the right webcam for themselves. However, in the end, the manufacturer decided to present a fully completed product.
The tripod has vertical and horizontal guides that allow you to move the camera along a horizontal and vertical plane, as well as rotate it around its axis. The camera itself is mounted on a special bracket, which allows you to change the angle of tilt and rotation of the camera. Reach can be placed either on a large independent stand or attached, for example, to the edge of a table. The new product connects to a PC via a USB cable and does not require additional driver installation.
The manufacturer has not yet decided on the final cost of Reach. Logitech plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo Enterprise platform, where, with the support of potential buyers, it wants to collect ideas that will help improve the camera if necessary. It is not specified when exactly the campaign will be launched on the crowdfunding site. However, according to a survey conducted on the Logitech website, the cost of the Reach could range from $299 (with a discount for early buyers) to $399.
