This month’s Chief Creative Officer Epic Games Donald Mustard announced his departure from the company, but a replacement has already been found for him. It was Charlie Wen, who worked at Riot, Disney, Marvel, Sony and other organizations.
For example, Wen was responsible for character designs in films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy. Charlie also did concepts for Kratos’ appearance from the original God of War and blades of Chaos, and they were drawn on a napkin.
Perhaps Epic Games’ decision to choose Charlie as the new creative director was influenced by his portfolio with a large number of characters from different universes. Let us remind you that Fortnite is famous for its collaborations – recently there was a crossover with the anime “Magic Battle”.
