During Sony’s recent State of Play presentation, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and confirmed a February 2024 release date for the highly anticipated RPG. In addition to this announcement, the company also provided updated sales figures for Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake, released for PS4 in April 2020, has now surpassed 7 million copies in worldwide and digital sales. This includes sales on PS4, as well as sales of the enhanced re-release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, which is available on PS5 and PC (Epic Games Store and Steam).
This is the first sales update Square Enix has provided for the action-RPG since August 2020, when the game sold over 5 million copies worldwide, meaning it has sold another two million copies in three years.
