Nintendo stayed true to its tradition and, as expected, released a new Direct in September. One of the highlights of this online presentation, which is hotly anticipated by fans, is a game that was first teased a few months ago. In addition to Super Mario Bros. Wonder (you can read our exciting preview here) and the remake of this brilliant SNES classic, one was already announced as part of the previous Direct in June of this year new game revealed with a Nintendo character who was already in charge in the movie The Super Mario Bros. Movie and really hit the spot.
This Nintendo icon is getting his own game
It is none other than Her Majesty of the Mushroom Kingdom herself, Princess Peach. In the billion-dollar hit The Super Mario Bros. film, she showed the brothers Mario and Luigi, as well as the rumbling monkey Donkey Kong and in particular Oberfiesling Bowserthat it’s better not to mess with her.
In previous Mario games for NES, Game Boy, Super Nintendo, N64 or Nintendo DS, Peach was often portrayed as a “damsel in distress” who had to be rescued from Bowser’s clutches. During the current Nintendo Direct, a new game with the ever-popular princess as the title character was finally presented. In Princess Peach Showtime you have to play Peach in different roles in various theater plays on a stage and solve all sorts of tricky tasks.
