As you may know, it was on September 12th that Apple announced all its new devices for 2023, starting with the base model of the iPhone 15 (€989), and ending with the iPhone 15 Pro Max (€1499).
Interestingly, not only was there no price increase, but we even had some drops in some versions, more specifically in the base version, and extremely interestingly also in the Pro version.
These are “adjustments” that have a profound impact on the market! Firstly because the Android world was truly waiting for an almost dizzying price rise, which in turn will give Xiaomi and Samsung a few headaches, especially for the former which is about to launch its new Xiaomi 13T Pro. But perhaps more interesting than that, these price changes have an even greater impact on the giant Apple’s own range.
After all, the iPhone 15 Ultra, which is now only in its second version, having replaced the iPhone Mini in 2022, has no reason to exist. You are not going to sell!
The iPhone 15 Plus is useless and should disappear!
Therefore, Apple’s idea is interesting, launching at least 4 devices every year, to try to reach all budgets and levels of demand. But, it is absolutely undeniable that Apple continues to make some mistakes, which make little sense, and limit these same releases.
After all, if the iPhone Mini had the problem of having to compete with the iPhone SE. In what was pure stubbornness on Apple’s part, in not transforming the Mini into the new SE. Now we have the iPhone 15 Plus arriving at a price very similar to the extremely more attractive iPhone 15 Pro.
Let’s be very honest… For a difference of around €100, will you opt for the €1249 iPhone 15 Pro, or the €1139 iPhone 15 Plus? For me it is an extremely easy choice to make.
