On September 15, the Ukrainian futsal team will begin its journey in the elite round of qualifying for the 2024 World Cup with a match against the Belgian team.
In March, the Ukrainian futsal team took first place in group 11 of the main round of qualifying for the 2024 World Cup and made it to the elite round of qualification. As a result of the draw, the blue-yellows found themselves in Group B, where their opponents will be the teams of Poland, Serbia and Belgium.
It should be noted that after considering several potential home venues for the Ukrainian national team, AFU chose the arena named after. István Pálfi, which is located in the Hungarian city of Beretjóyfalu. The hall itself seats 1,350 spectators and is currently the home arena for the Hungarian futsal team Mezei-Vill.
The coach of the Ukrainian national team, Alexander Kosenko, called 15 players to prepare for the opening matches of the elite round, among whom there are three debutants – Nazar Shved, Evgeniy Zhuk and Vladislav Zavertany.
The blue-yellows were preparing for official matches in Debrecen, Hungary. After this, the Ukrainians went to Belgium, where today they will meet with the local team in the city of Rusdal (the game starts at 21.00 Kyiv time). The matches of the Ukrainian national futsal team in the elite round of qualifying for the 2024 World Cup will be exclusively broadcast by the MEGOGO media service.

World Cup 2024. European qualification
Elite round
Matches: September 11-20, October 2-11, December 11-20, 2023.
20 teams are divided into five groups of four teams, matches will be held at home and away. The five group winners will qualify for the 2024 World Cup. The top four second-place finishers will advance to the Elite Round playoffs.

Draw: January 25, 2024.
Matches: April 8-17, 2024.
Four teams will be divided into two pairs, matches will take place at home and away. The winners of the pairs will qualify for the 2024 World Cup.
The World Championship will be held in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6, 2024.
