PICO and Flyhigh Works have announced the retro side-scroller The Scramble Vice. The game tells the story of combat robots bringing order to the streets of Tokyo of the future.
The Scramble Vice takes place in 2048. By that time, the number of crimes using robotics had increased sharply in Neo-Tokyo. Terrorist groups have become especially active, using increasingly destructive technologies. The level of security in the city has reached a critically low level.
To combat this threat, a special mobile unit of the Tokyo Police Department called “The Scramble Vice” was formed. Among its ranks is officer Sakuragi Kei, who uses the high-tech armored suit “ASURA”. This innovative exoskeleton is equipped with firearms and bladed weapons. With the help of her unusual abilities and advanced technology, Officer Kei is ready to effectively combat the wave of robot crime and restore peace to Neo-Tokyo.
The developers promise 12 levels with many enemies and bosses, as well as the ability to change the robot to different vehicles.
