The remake of the first Gothic should be released before the end of 2024, but it does not yet have an exact release date. Not long ago, at Gamescom, the developers held a demonstration of the game for journalists, which showed that the project is already at an advanced stage of readiness. Judging by the first reviews from those who watched the game, the developers are creating a large-scale remake with respect for the classic role-playing game, but also with serious changes – the remake will have a world 30-40% larger than the original.
Dualshockers journalists, like some other publications, got the opportunity to look at the Gothic remake and shared their impressions of the game. In addition, they said that the exact release date will be announced soon. According to their material, the director of the Gothic remake, Reinhard Pollis, promised to announce a release date in the coming months:
We are focused [с релизом] for 2024 and will announce the date in the next couple of months.
Players suggest that the release date of the Gothic remake, along with a new trailer, may be announced at The Game Awards this year in December.
