September 16, 2023 at 2:20 p.m. by Tim Rantzau – The Witcher universe is a success story that has long been continued not only in the gaming community, but also among board game fans. In collaboration with publisher Go On Board, CD Projekt Red is now announcing a new board game – The Witcher: Path of Destiny.
The Witcher: Path of Destiny by Go On Board is a new board and card game based on the well-known and popular stories from the literary works of Andrzej Sapkowski. Players take on the role of some of the greatest heroes in The Witcher universe, including those who are making a comeback in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from CD Projekt Red, such as Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer. In addition, according to the manufacturer, the game offers the opportunity to immerse yourself deeply in a captivating dark fantasy story as well as complex, strategy-oriented gameplay.
The board game is being financed through a crowdfunding campaign that starts on October 19th on the Gamefound platform and ends on November 7th of this year. Fans can already see details about the game’s production and development plans on the campaign website. The game itself will be available in multiple languages and two different editions: Polish, English, Czech, French, Spanish, Italian and German. The Witcher: Path of Destiny is a mix of card drawing and hand card management.

After The Witcher: Old World, the board game is another result of the collaboration between CD Projekt Red and the publisher Go On Board. The studio supports the creators of The Witcher: Path of Destiny closely on design, visual aspects and story accuracy. The author of the game is Łukasz Woźniak (The Witcher: Old World, Valhalla and The Titans).
