New trailer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin shows off the game’s extensive scope, including map editor and army color customization.
Frontier Developments plc today released a new trailer for real-time strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, showcasing the wide range of features available at launch on November 17th.
Cinematic campaign – Players can experience a rich, character-driven story up close. They find themselves in a wild realm and immersed in the middle of a desperate conflict. The story was co-written by acclaimed Black Library author Gav Thorpe.
Comprehensive multiplayer ways- Players can prove their skills in cross-platform 1v1 and 2v2 multiplayer matches with a freely selectable mix of human and AI opponents. They also have the opportunity to climb a 1v1 ranking.
Eternal conquest – In an expanded single-player experience, the commanders fight their way through randomly generated wilderness areas on the way to the final boss. The seed can also be divided. This offers players the opportunity to indirectly compete with each other and decide who the better player is.
Infinite creativity – Create maps, share them with others and demonstrate your skills on your own maps or maps created by another player. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruins made all of this possible. The game also offers the option to customize your armies in terms of color and create beautiful dioramas to present your creations.
Realms of Ruin allows players to personalize their in-game experiences. With the map editor, players will use similar tools to the developers to create multiplayer maps for the game and create their own battlefields in the wild realm of Ghur.
From designing the terrain to placing props, leaves, water and game objectives, players can create their ideal battlefields and then enjoy them in custom online multiplayer matches. Players are also invited to share their creations in a cross-platform in-game workshop where the community can download, play and rate their cards.
With Army Livery Players can customize the color palettes for each of the game’s four factions using colors from Games Workshop’s Citadel collection.
In addition to player-created color palettes, the game will feature official Games Workshop color schemes. Army Livery highlights Frontier’s efforts to make the game as authentic as possible. Players can create palettes for entire factions or even design color schemes for individual units.
With the Senen-Editor Players will have the opportunity to create captivating dioramas that they can then share with the community.
To do this, they appropriately showcase the characters in curated and shareable snapshots from the Battle of Ghur. Creative minds have the freedom to customize individual animation frames to get every detail just right and represent their individual Army Livery units to add a personal touch to the diorama.
Players can adjust the visual settings to their liking and then capture the perfect image to share with the world.
An additional Age of Sigmar faction has not yet been revealed for the game, joining the mighty Stormforged Eternals, the brutal Orruk Moorstalkers, and the ghostly swarm of Nighthaunts – further details will be announced ahead of launch.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin will be released on November 17th for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S at a recommended retail price of 59.99 euros for the standard edition, 69.99 euros for the Deluxe Edition and 74.99 euros for the Ultimate Edition.
