Images of the debut smartphone of the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Nio, which will be presented next week, on September 21, have appeared on the Internet. During the recent presentation of the second-generation NIO EC6 electric crossover, the smartphone was caught on camera several times, which allowed us to get an idea of its design.
Judging by the pictures, the Nio smartphone has a large screen bordered by thin frames, with a front camera located in a hole at the top. An under-screen fingerprint scanner is used to unlock the device.
The Nio smartphone managed to appear in the Antutu mobile benchmark, thanks to which some of its parameters became known. The application states that the smartphone is equipped with an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 12 GB of RAM and a 1 TB flash drive.
It is reported that the Nio smartphone will also be available in configurations with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash memory, as well as 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory.
On September 15, the Nio smartphone received certification from China Compulsory Certification (CCC), which revealed additional details about the upcoming smartphone. In particular, the assembly of the Nio smartphone will be carried out by Lens Technology from Hunan Province. This company supplies Apple with lenses and related components for the iPhone, and has also been collaborating with Tesla for more than two years. In addition, the certificate states that the smartphone supports 100W fast charging.
It is expected that the Nio smartphone will receive integration with electric vehicle control systems, which will make driving more convenient and comfortable.
