When the Nintendo DS conquered Europe in 2005, the game selection was still a little limited. With the exception of the long-running favorites from Nintendo, there was a bit of a lack of alternatives at the beginning. Nevertheless, a title back then managed to delight players with a quieter genre. Not surprisingly, it was the point-and-click adventure Another Code: Double Memory. Even if the successor for Nintendo Wii 2009 didn’t come close to the strength of its predecessor, it was at least able to substantiate the contender as an insider tip. Next January, Another Code will have another chance to prove itself among the big players. The whole thing is called Another Code: Recollection and combines the two adventures into one game:
Experience the complete story of Ashley Mizuki Robbins in two adventures in Another Code: Recollection for Nintendo Switch. This collection contains the Another Code games originally released for Nintendo DS and Wii in a fully remastered version, including improved graphics, 3D environments, voice acting, new puzzles, new cutscenes, new music and more! Both games also include an optional hint system – ideal for players who have little experience with adventure games.
13-year-old Ashley receives a letter from her father, who was believed to be long dead. Now she goes to the remote Blood Edward Island to look for him. Shortly after her arrival, she encounters a mysterious ghost named D and discovers a property full of tricky puzzles and mysteries that need to be solved. The sequel takes place two years after the events of Another Code: Double Memory. Ashley visits Lake Juliet and discovers the hidden truth about her mother’s past.
Another Code: Recollection will be released on January 19, 2024 for Nintendo Switch.
