Without any surprise, Apple has a lot of ideas regarding its next iPhone and its future Apple Watch. Less than a week after the presentation of the new iPhone 15 Pro and the latest Apple Watch Series 9, our usual providers of information are back in action. We thus learned from Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg journalist specializing in the Apple brand, that Apple is preparing a more substantial hardware “refresh” on its next generation of devices, expected next year. This information could respond to criticism denouncing the new features, too modest for some, observed on the products announced on September 12.
First of all, Mark Gurman suggests that Apple would be betting in 2024 on iPhone 16 Pros that are larger than the current 15 Pro. The Bloomberg journalist, often very aware of the Cupertino giant’s projects, mentions a slightly more generous screen diagonal for the future Pro and Pro Max models, but without specifying the exact size of these new screens.
Larger iPhone 16 Pros… and a redesigned Apple Watch Series 10?
We obtain a little more detail by referring to information subsequently shared by Ross Young (analyst specializing in display issues, often also well informed) who for his part mentioned a 6.27-inch iPhone 16 Pro, and a 6.86-inch iPhone 16 Pro Max. For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro is limited to 6.1 inches, compared to 6.7 inches for its big brother. The increase in diagonals would therefore remain slight.
According to Mark Gurman, Apple would be working in parallel on an Apple Watch Series To mark the 10th anniversary of its connected watch, Apple would also add new health functions, such as blood pressure monitoring. Also in 2024, the iPad Pro would also be transfigured for the first time since 2018, while the MacBooks would gradually adopt a new chip: the famous Apple M3.
As a reminder, next year will finally mark the arrival of Apple in the mixed reality sector, with the marketing in early 2024 of the Apple Vision Pro. It is also estimated that during this same year, the Apple firm will also launch into the generative AI market to try to compete with OpenAI in this area, but also with its usual rivals: Google and Microsoft , already well positioned in this area.
