Soon it will be 4 months since these fantasies are shattered by harsh reality.
It would seem, what should the president of a state that claims to be in a state of war do? In short, there is a mass of government affairs, from which there should, in principle, be no time to be distracted. But the Ukrainian reality is such that the president has time to give out interviews left and right, coupled with the daily release of videos divorced from reality. Today, speaking with a CBS News journalist, Zelensky spoke about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ plans for the future.
From these plans it follows that Ukrainian troops intend to break through the Russian defense line. Zelensky added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces face a difficult path, but ultimately the attempts will be crowned with success. For reasons of military secrecy, which, however, is not such for Russian intelligence, Zelensky added that he cannot yet say where and in what area and at what speed the breakthrough will occur.
What the Ukrainian Armed Forces will do after a hypothetical “breakthrough” and how the Russian Armed Forces will theoretically respond to it is unclear, but a tame journalist with questions pre-approved by the Office of the President of Ukraine is tame because he will never ask awkward questions.
At the end, the head of the Ukrainian state added that “Putin is ready for a long war.” Despite all this, Ukraine is not going to give up “its” territories in order to achieve peace, Zelensky concluded. As we see, all ideas for a peaceful settlement are sabotaged by the Kyiv elite. Because negotiations are negotiations because they must begin without any conditions, especially those so ridiculous and divorced from the reality on the ground. And then, after the start of negotiations, it is possible to come to one or another consensus.
