This year, Nintendo released big titles such as Pikmin 4 or The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, for the live broadcast of September 14, 2023, the firm took a leap in time to offer numerous remakes and remasters. Starting with one of the company’s most iconic franchises: Mario. We therefore find Super Mario RPG originally released in 1996. The title will see the light of day on Switch on November 17, 2023 and will notably be entitled to new features as well as improved graphics. Still on the side of players’ favorite plumber, the sixth and final wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be available this winter. Luigi’s Mansion 2 will also return in 2024, this time on Switch with a new version.
Aside from the Mario franchise, other licenses from the era will make a return. F-Zero, for example, returned on September 14, 2023, with a multiplayer version with 99 participants. On the new side, the Nintendo direct presented Unicorn Overlord. It has undoubtedly gone unnoticed between all the remakes, yet it is important. The title takes place in an epic fantasy world where exploration is at the center of the gameplay. The game is developed by the Atlus studio and will be released on March 8, 2024.
