Something really cool or just everyday smartphones?
HMD Global has been releasing smartphones under the Nokia brand for the past six years. The Finnish company, owned by Nokia, has now shared plans to expand its portfolio and release phones under its own HMD brand.
This was announced by Jean-François Baril, co-founder, chairman and CEO of HMD Global. The executive said on his LinkedIn page that HMD and Nokia phones will co-exist and customers should also expect to collaborate with “exciting new partners.”
In a major post, Baril said HMD Global is the “fastest growing 5G smartphone manufacturer year over year” and a leader in sustainability with Nokia repair devices launched over the past twelve months.
Now the company is ready to “go out on its own to create a new world of consumer-centric telecommunications.”
HMD is proud to be one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in Europe and will soon begin delivering high-quality, affordable mobile devices to consumers around the world.
