Studio Saber Interactive announced the end of support for the asymmetrical horror action game called Evil Dead: The Game. The game will no longer receive content updates, but the servers will remain online so fans can continue to play. In addition, the developers canceled the version for Nintendo Switch.
Evil Dead: The Game was released in May 2022 on PC via the Epic Games Store, Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. At first, the game was very popular – over 500 thousand copies were sold in just five days. However, online soon began to decline rapidly. The free distribution on the Epic Games Store, as well as the release on Steam, unfortunately, did not save the situation.
Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical horror action game based on the Evil Dead film series. Players can take control of familiar characters from the franchise, including Ash, Scotty, Lord Arthur, Kelly Maxwell, and more, or go against them as a Kandari demon. The game also contains single tasks that refer to various events from films.
