iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max – Scratches will be a serious problem! – In a perfect world, we would buy a new smartphone, and take advantage of all the new design features that the development team worked so hard to implement in the new generation of devices. But no, we are almost always forced to use a cover, sometimes ugly and soul-aching, to protect the device which, in addition to being an investment, is also the most important computing machine in our daily lives.
It is because of this “problem” that users love to know that manufacturers are implementing more resistant materials in their devices. An almost perfect example of this is the new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, which now have a titanium chassis instead of stainless steel or aluminum.
But… Despite the fact that resistance has increased, there are other problems that will require the use of a cover.
iPhone 15 Pro: Titanium is cool, but draw luck!
Therefore, Apple finally decided to exchange the stainless steel of previous models to introduce a titanium alloy in its new iPhone 15 range. A “new feature” that is exclusive to the Pro and Pro Max models of the iPhone 15.
A new feature that can make devices much lighter and much more resistant to falls. However, it also ended up compromising resistance to scratches and abrasions.
The image below shows how easy it is to get scratches or marks on titanium edges. Thus suggesting that long-term use without a protective cover is not recommended. That is unless you want to have a smartphone that looks more like a zebra. (So much risk that you will have after a few days or weeks of use. The image below was just after taking the smartphone out of the box!)
So, if you want to maintain the value (€) of your iPhone after a few years and get a good deal when you put it up for sale on online markets or simply opt for an exchange when Apple launches a new model, you’ll want to Definitely invest in a cover.
Preferably one that covers the titanium very well.
