Team,
Today, several documents produced in litigation related to our proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard were inadvertently disclosed. I know this is frustrating, even though many of the documents are over a year old and our plans have changed.
I also know that we all take the privacy of our plans and our partners’ information very seriously. Obviously, this leak doesn’t live up to our expectations. We will learn from what happened and move forward better. We all put an incredible amount of passion and energy into our work, and we never want that hard work to be exposed to the community in this way. However, there is still a lot to look forward to, and when we are ready, we will share the actual plans with our players.
In conclusion, I appreciate all the work you put into the Xbox team to surprise and delight our players. In the days and weeks ahead, let’s focus on what we can control: continuing the amazing success of Starfield, the upcoming launch of the incredible and accessible Forza Motorsport, and continuing to create games, services and devices that millions of players can enjoy.
