, Bandung – Almost entering its seventh year of release, Titanfall 2 will get a mysterious new mode. Loyal fans really didn’t expect this, because the game made by Respawn Entertainment and EA hasn’t had any important updates for a long time. At least the presence of a new mode is good news for fans.
Initially Considered a Commercial Fail Game
Titanfall 2 is the sequel to Titanfall from Respawn Entertainment. Titanfall was released as an Xbox and PC exclusive in 2014 and focuses on multiplayer. a sequel was released two years later as a multiplatform game and included a single-player campaign.
Even though it was warmly welcomed by critics and received several nominations for prestigious awards, in fact Titanfall 2 was released on a date close to Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. As a result, the FPS game made by Respawn was unable to achieve the success it hoped. Since then, fans have hoped that Respawn could release the third entry in Titanfall, which was reportedly canceled. Respawn then made the battle royale game Apex Legends set in the same world as Titanfall.

Titanfall 2’s New Mode Is Coming Soon
Several years after hopes for Titanfall 3 seemed dashed, Titanfall 2 is surprisingly getting a new game mode. This new mode was first shared by an account Twitter alphaINTEL who often shares news about Apex Legends.
In the screenshot from alphaINTEL, there is a mode simply named “???”. They found the description “your rocket will blot out of the sun.” which takes quotes from 300 works by Frank Miller.
Titanfall 2 itself was officially released on October 28 2016. Coincidentally, the 18th season of Apex Legends is scheduled to end on October 31 2023. This has sparked speculation that the update links the two games made by Respawn. Moreover, Apex’s latest patch notes also share a new Nessie Transmission which includes a code. If the code is translated, it contains the release dates for the two games Titanfall and Apex Legends.
This could be a good sign for loyal fans of Titanfall 2. It is not impossible that Titanfall 3 could return to development.
