Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, the Meta Quest exclusive in Virtual Reality, confirms price and release date: revisits the story of Ezio, Connor and Kassandra.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage won’t be the only Assassin’s Creed game coming out this year. Owners of Meta Quest 2, the virtual reality viewer, will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Nexus VRa game that has been talked about for a long time, but had never shown real gameplay.
Via IGN we have the first gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, a game that revisits three mythical characters from the saga: Ezio (Assassin’s Creed II), Connor (Assassin’s Creed 3), and Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey).
Its date and price have also been revealed: it comes out on November 16 at 39.99 euros. And it is exclusive to Meta Quest 2 and 3 (there are no known plans to release it on PS VR2, at least for now).
First gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR
Nexus is the first Assassin’s Creed entirely in first person. Playing an Abstergo employee who has to revisit the memories of three historical figures in search of some lost artifacts.
These are the Renaissance, the American Revolution and ancient Greece, playing well-known characters in three of the most popular installments of the saga.
But it won’t be a simple demo. Ubisoft describes it as an AAA VR, in which you can move freely in 360 degrees through maps, doing everything you would do in a regular game in the saga: parkour (let’s see what leaps of faith are like in VR…), combat, stealth murder…
The best thing about all Assassin’s Creed is the careful historical setting. And Nexus will be no less. It will be more, because here you have three very different eras, which you can see almost with your own eyes. The story will be told with immersive cinematics, but there will be many accessibility options to adjust the experience to your needs.
Sounds good? Well, if you have Meta Quest 2 (or buy a future Meta Quest 3) you can play Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR starting November 16.
