The home is an infinite source of inspiration, and whether connectivity is added or not, this IFA 2023 brings its share of original concepts and products. We’ve found five that could change your domestic life.
The smallest object in your home is the result of long reflections and traditions sometimes shaken up by innovation. If IFA 2023 was full of products for the home, it is nevertheless difficult to reinvent the wheel. However, we have found practical or original products that have managed to make a difference. Here are the five items you will soon want in your home!
Connected wine for everyone
The Sommelière ECS81.2Z is the new creation from the French manufacturer and leader in connected wine cellars. It takes the form of a very beautiful metal and wood case, which offers two compartments with independent temperature management.
Thus, you can produce wines at two different tasting temperatures at the same time. Delicate lighting allows you to highlight your most beautiful bottles. Don’t expect multi-color LED lighting, we have warm white light here.
In terms of connectivity, temperature, lighting, alarms, the wine cellar settings are numerous and, above all, all available on the iOS or Android application. It can be linked to the Vinotag application, which allows real-time management of your cellar. Access to a lot of information on the stored wines is easy and you will even be alerted when one of your bottles reaches the optimal tasting period. It is available in three versions, the ECS31.2Z at 599 euros (29 bottles), the ECS51.2Z (49 bottles) and the ECS81.2Z (75 bottles).
The electric wood oven
The Ninja Woodfire displays a pretty copper color to adorn a design inspired by those of pizza ovens. Stone is replaced by metal and wood by two electric grills. These allow temperatures ranging from 40°C to 370°C to be reached. On the right side you can see a built-in smoker that burns natural wood pellets.
The air flows must ensure the diffusion of smoked flavors into the heart of the food. This oven is designed for outdoor sweating to enjoy your terrace or garden, while cooking. The pizzas will appear to have come from a traditional wood-fired oven, the roasts and fish will be able to simmer and you will not have to leave your guests to monitor the cooking. A fun product, which brings more rustic flavors without the need to be in the great outdoors.
Solar pool robot
Although it may be reminiscent of a futuristic solar vehicle, the Aiper Surfer S1 is above all a cordless pool cleaning robot. Built like a multihull, it will literally surf on the water of your swimming pool to capture leaves and any other solid residue that remains on the surface. You can control it like a radio-controlled boat or just let it work alone while you lounge around.
It is very quiet, with its motorized paddle wheels powered by solar energy. Aiper promises up to 10 hours of worry-free cleaning thanks to its anti-grounding columns, which prevent it from getting stuck, and its two ultrasonic sensors that detect and avoid obstacles, from the buoy to the pool walls. It can even self-clean!
AI-assisted cooking
If Samsung has already launched a connected oven with a camera, it is Haier with its BioniCook concept which makes it practical. Thus, the oven is equipped with a camera, associated with a large database, which can identify more than 35 ingredients and products.
Once the ingredient is located, on the oven screen or the Haier hOn application, recipes and cooking tips appear. If you want to get started, all you have to do is follow the step-by-step instructions on the screen. BioniCook does not stop there, with the possibility of making several recipes and by communicating with a BionicCook induction hob perfectly synchronize the service.
Poach blender
Whether for making crushed ice, making milkshakes or fruit or vegetable cocktails, the blender is in the life of everyone who likes to prepare fresh products. With the Ninja Blast, we have the first portable solution for enjoying mixed drinks outside of home. At the office, at the gym, during a picnic, or on your couch, the stainless steel blade allows you to mix almost anything, even ice cream.
Its bowl allows you to create 530 ml of smooth drinks with a simple press and it even offers a pouring spout for drinking directly from the blender. It can be washed in the dishwasher and, even better, offers a self-cleaning mode by mixing water with a drop of dishwashing liquid for 30 seconds.
If some of these objects seem gadgets, they correspond above all to a very marked trend which is that of specialization. They respond to needs that seem iconoclastic to some and are “vital” to others. The home, whether connected or not, continues to amaze us, make us smile and, above all, help us live our daily lives better.
