Google Calendar was affected by an outage affecting both the PC version (via browser) and the smartphone application. Either we encountered a 500 error message, or the calendar was not synchronizing. Google is investigating to determine the cause, but in the meantime the situation has generally returned to normal.

Is Google Calendar broken? It seems so, both on PC from a web browser and from the smartphone application. The number of reports on DownDetector is increasing rapidly and has well exceeded the 700 mark in just a few minutes. In addition, the entire Aroged editorial team is experiencing problems.

Note that, on DownDetector, the number of Internet users complaining about problems on Google (in general) is increasing. But this seems to be a side effect of the Google Calendar outage.
A Google Calendar outage that disrupts the service
On PC, at best, the calendar is not displayed in its entirety (the interaction buttons do not appear). Most of the time, after a few seconds, we are faced with a page indicating an error 500.

On a smartphone, the application seems to display normally, but you just have to create an event to realize that it does not synchronize at all with other devices and other accounts. In other words, if you schedule an appointment in your calendar and send the invitation, the recipient will not be notified. The event only exists locally on the smartphone.
Google confirms and investigates
In the official Workspace dashboard, Google technical teams indicate that they are aware of the problem and have launched an investigation to determine the cause.
We are currently investigating reports of an incident with Google Calendar. We will provide you with more information as soon as possible. Affected users can access Google Calendar, but see error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.
Google has several categories to determine the severity of an issue. Here, in the case of Agenda, the firm displays “Service disrupted” and not “Service interrupted”.
