Ibai Llanos spoke with the CEO of Twitch, Dan Clancy, clarifying some doubts about the technical limitations of the platform, controversies over the Evening stream, and other aspects.

You already know that Ibai has the best contract on the purple platform (owned by Amazon), and completely rules out going to Kick. Now, the Basque streamer believes that some things must change on Twitch.
A good example is the limit on viewer countsomething that pissed off Ibai (a lot), since he reported that Evening 3 had more simultaneous views than what Twitch showed.

Twitch’s problems, and an indecent proposal
The talk between Ibai and Dan Clancy has gone a long way. However, there are two key aspects that were discussed in the interview, which is already among the most viewed content of the day on Twitch.
For a start, River Llanos has asked him about the Year 4 Evening. It is already confirmed that there will be an edition in 2024, which could even be held in the renovated Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid’s stadium.

Later, Ibai asks him about the irregularities in the viewer count during Evening 3. The Basque streamer reached a new record (3.4 million simultaneous viewers)but he believes there were actually many more.
The CEO of Twitch has explained that, when the platform becomes overloaded due to the large influx of users, Stream quality is cut for newcomers (so that so many bits do not have to be sent).
The problem is that, faced with such a large number of simultaneous users, Twitch’s servers could not apply these cuts, resulting in the entry of new viewers was blocked, randomly. Those who started the broadcast are not affected by this.
At least, it’s a reasonable explanation. However, Ibai Llanos believes that a platform with the size of Twitch should ensure a better structure, especially in this type of massive events.
