Rumor maker Roland Quandt leaked information about the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE all Wednesday. Quandt also mentions the euro prices of the earphones.
The information that Quandt leaks is not entirely new. Samsung independently released all the necessary information about the Galaxy Buds FE. It became known that the Fan Edition earphones will have a completely new design. For example, the touch surface is placed in a cavity, and the Buds FE have wings to fit better in your ears. In images of Quandt Samsung’s design choice is once again confirmed.
What is also immediately noticeable is that the Galaxy Buds FE have a physical button on the left earpiece. It is not yet known what that button is used for. Samsung could link this to its voice assistant, Bixby, but it could just as easily be a power button or multi-function toggle. It is also known that the earphones will be available in two colors: white and black.
‘Improved bass response’
Quandt also reports that Samsung talks about ‘improved bass reproduction’ in its press materials. This improved display is made possible by a new 12 millimeter driver. We do not know which earphones Samsung is comparing the Galaxy Buds FE with when it comes to bass reproduction.
Samsung has already leaked that the earphones will also have noise reduction (ANC) and an Ambient Sound transparency mode. In terms of hardware, the earphones are very similar to the Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro. However, those earphones do have less noticeable touch controls. It also remains to be clarified how long the battery of the Buds FE will last and how the aforementioned functions perform; certainly don’t expect the same performance as its more expensive counterparts.
Price Galaxy Buds FE
One detail that the South Koreans neglected was the price. Quandt can now tell us that. European retailers talk about a price tag of approximately 89.90 euros. Whether this also applies to Belgium and the Netherlands is unknown. If we compare that price with the Galaxy Buds 2 series, it is noticeable that the Galaxy Buds 2 are currently priced the same, at 89 euros. The Buds 2 Pro are more expensive, with prices above 150 euros.
