“The Crew Motorfest” has been available for consoles and PC for a few days now. As Ubisoft and the developers of Ivory Tower confirmed, the racing game had a successful launch and broke several records in the series.
After the pre-launch for all players who decided to purchase one of the special editions of “The Crew Motorfest”, the racing game was officially released for consoles and PC last week.
After it became apparent in the past few days that “The Crew Motorfest” would be a success in terms of both of the ratings and community feedback performed better than its predecessor, the developers of Ivory Tower confirmed in a recent announcement that “The Crew Motorfest” had a record start within the series.
This doesn’t just apply to sales figures in the first week. Ivory Tower is also talking about new records in terms of revenue generated and sales of the season pass for the first year’s content. However, no specific figures were given.
The launch is just the beginning
According to the developers, players also made extensive use of the “Collection Import” feature and imported 42 million of their vehicles from the predecessor “The Crew 2” into “The Crew Motorfest” in the first week. As part of the official statement, the studio thanked them for their support so far and pointed out that the release of “Motorfest” would only be the first step on a long journey.
Accordingly, “The Crew Motorsport” should be supported and kept interesting over a long period of time: “The start is just the beginning: We will have regular updates with new topics and experiences for a long time, as well as very strong post-launch support with a mixture of Free and paid content planned.”
