The changes are not yet known, but Larian has already drawn attention to a feature that players have been asking for since the release of Baldur’s Gate 3.
Big things are happening with Baldur’s Gate 3 today, as the developers at Larian Studios are sending out Patch 3. This is supposed to be extremely extensive and has already been pushed back by one day, because the update was actually supposed to be rolled out on September 21st. The developers said they wanted to give themselves a little more time to test the patch before releasing it to players. The changelog is still a long time coming, but yesterday the developers revealed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will receive a feature that players have been asking for since its release.
The magic mirror
With Patch 3, the magic mirror is coming to Baldur’s Gate 3, which is located in the player’s camp. Using this mirror, the user is allowed to modify their character even after leaving the editor, which was previously not possible before Patch 3. However, any characteristics cannot be changed; the subsequent type change is limited to the appearance, the voice and the choice of pronouns. However, the race/people and body type of the character can no longer be touched, just like origin characters. Here Larian adds that they are “very” picky when it comes to their hair.

The start time and the presumably very extensive changelog for Patch 3 have not yet been revealed, but it can only be a matter of hours. Meanwhile, fans assume that Patch 3 will also provide an upgrade to FSR 2.0. The developers also announced in advance that they wanted to implement further features and improvements in Baldur’s Gate 3. The focus should be on act 3 in particular, which sometimes suffers from performance problems. The team would also plan a photo mode for the game. However, when these improvements will come into play has not yet been confirmed.
