Conan Exiles unleashes the Purge in the new Age of War chapter
Conan Exiles, Funcom’s critically acclaimed open-world survival sandbox, has added a new batch of content with the Age of War – Chapter 2 update.
As players’ treasuries continue to grow, they must protect them from the invading Stygian Empire with the revamped Purge system. With the new threats comes improvements to loot and much more.
The contents of Chapter 2 can be seen in the trailer:
In Chapter 2, players have full control over when a Purge attack occurs and how difficult it is. As Stygian fighters advance from a nearby war camp, players defend their base and the treasures within against any waves of attack until the hand of war emerges.
If they win, players will receive rewards based on the difficulty level. This is a completely new experience in Conan Exiles, guaranteeing epic battles with high replayability thanks to player-created bases and followers.
Additionally, loot tables have been improved throughout the game so that enemies’ loot reflects their culture, environment, and equipment. To find the rarest loot, players must venture beyond the confines of their fortress, raid camps, and explore dungeons.
Both new players venturing into the desert for the first time and endgame veterans who have mastered the Exiled Lands and built entire cities can fully enjoy the impact of these features.
Chapter 2 also includes a wealth of brand new paid cosmetic items available through the Battle Pass and the Bazaar Shop. Most of them are dedicated to the Age of War and the Stygian Empire, including the majestic pyramid kit, Stygian weapon and armor skins, new emotes, pets, war paints and more. Players can change the panorama of the Exiled Lands with their creations.
