Editing videos is even easier
Google has launched a new video editing app called YouTube Create on the Google Play Store, aimed at content creators. This app allows users to edit videos directly from their phone with an easy-to-use interface and semi-professional tools – free and without ads.
It’s still in development, but YouTube released it into beta to start getting feedback from creators early on so they can make it a better app.
It is currently available in the US, France, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, India, UK and Indonesia. YouTube plans to release an iOS version in 2024.
Although it is inferior in its capabilities to professional video creation applications on PC, it is even better than mobile video editing applications in some aspects. With transitions, overlays, subtitles, text effects, stickers, and voiceover capabilities, YouTube Create truly becomes a user-friendly tool.
In addition, the app contains useful, easy-to-use tools that will help you create long and short videos, regardless of whether they are in horizontal or vertical format.
One very useful feature is the built-in cleaning tool, which will help get rid of background noise and thus improve the quality of your work. The app can also export in 1080p or 720p quality, which isn’t surprising considering many video editing apps on Android have the same limitations.
YouTube Create is definitely a step in the right direction and could be a very powerful tool for new content creators or simply those who prefer to make quick edits straight from their phone. I can’t wait to see how the app evolves over time and what new features will be added to entice YouTubers to create more content.
