Fans of the game can expect a journey to Mars and new stories.
Studio miHoYo held a fairly extensive demo of Honkai Impact 3rd at the Tokyo Game Show. The game is about to transition to version 2.0: the developers plan to rework the gameplay and other aspects of the project.
In the update trailer shown at the exhibition, characters from Honkai Impact 3rd travel to Mars. In the video you can see other locations, some of which look quite interesting.
On Mars, the developers promise, players will meet local residents, explore exotic locations and meet unusual creatures.
Another excerpt from the presentation shows the gameplay of Honkai Impact 3rd 2.0. The main character of the video walks through a shopping center and then enters into battle with a group of opponents.
The developers call Honkai Impact 3rd 2.0 a “next-generation anime action game with cel-shaded graphics.” In terms of graphics, the game is indeed noticeably different from the “regular” Honkai Impact 3rd.
Honkai Impact 3rd 2.0 is scheduled for release in February 2024. The developers have not yet announced the exact release date.
