Intel will soon release 14th generation Core processors (Raptor Lake-S Refresh) for desktop computers. New products are increasingly appearing in online databases of test packages. For example, the Core i9-14900KF model was recently listed on the PassMark website and immediately took first place in the single-threaded performance rating.
Let us remind you that the Intel Core i9-14900K(F) processor inherited the configuration from the already familiar Core i9-13900K(F), that is, it operates with 24 cores/32 threads. The main difference between the new product lies in the high clock speeds, in particular the maximum Turbo Boost is 6.0 GHz. This is what helped the Core i9-14900KF become the leader in the single-threaded PassMark rating.
On the other hand, the multi-threaded performance of the Intel Core i9-14900KF differs little from the older 13th generation Core chips. The top AMD Ryzen processors for the AM5 platform are in the lead in the corresponding rating. The official release of the 14th generation CPU Core, according to available information, is scheduled for the middle of next month.
