Many of you will find the first scenes from the story mode particularly interesting. Here you can watch the renewed encounter between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. After a cinematic cutscene, a heated duel finally ensues. We then learn that each of the 32 available fighters has their own “what if” story.
If you want to learn the basics, the Arcade Quest mode is ideal. Here you will learn the basics of the combat system. To make things even better, try Super Ghost Battle. Here you fight against the ghosts of the different fighters, whereby you get to know their strengths and weaknesses. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the ghosts act similarly to real players.
Also new is the Tekken Fight Lounge. Here you meet other players and can access various modes and the customization shop.
Tekken Ball is also celebrating its return. You can play this well-known mode in the beach area of the lobby.
The team then turns its attention to the online mode. There are three sub-modes to choose from: Group, Quick Play and Ranked. There are combat and observer options to choose from for each mode.
You learn the most from your defeats. So that you can watch them again, the developers have implemented a replay function. You will also be shown tips that you can use to improve yourself. You also have the option to rewind and take control for ten seconds. So you can implement the suggestion or simply try to act better than before. There is also a practice mode where you can learn the countless combinations.
“Tekken 8” will be released on January 26th next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
