September 22nd, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. by Sebastian Glanzer – During the raid tests on the test realm for WotLK Classic Patch 3.4.3, many players complained that there was a bug in the fight against the penultimate boss Sindragosa. As the developers at Blizzard made it clear, this is actually not a bug, but a rule that has existed in the game since 2006.
The raid tests for the final raid Icecrown Citadel are currently taking place on the test servers for WoW WotLK Classic, which have recently been expanded again. After players complained about several bugs, the developers realized that additional testing was necessary. However, one of the most frequently discussed bugs in Icecrown Citadel is actually not a bug.
Players complained that they were getting hit by boss attacks while fighting Sindragosa, even though they were hiding behind the ice blocks that appear in battle.
Ice block “bug” wanted at Sindragosa
In the official US forum, the developers make it clear that this is not a bug and explained what players are doing wrong. During combat, blocks of ice appear that break line of sight to other targets. These are used in combat to hide behind when Sindragosa casts her Frost Breath.
This allows the raid to avoid this otherwise deadly attack. However, on the test realm, players were repeatedly hit by frost breath, even though they had clearly broken the line of sight to Sindragosa with the ice block. According to the developers, the problem is that players behind temporarily appearing objects are always hit if they continue to use automatic attacks. This is 100% intentional and is not a bug.

If you don’t want to be hit by frost breath behind the ice block, stop your automatic attacks. The best way to do this is to press the ESC key. This is to avoid positioning the ice blocks in such a way that players can continue hitting the boss in the Frost Breath phase and to make the fight much easier with this tactic. According to the devs, this rule for temporary objects in connection with Line of Sight has existed since the release of WoW (buy now )in 2006. But after 17 years you can forget about it. Did you know that this rule has always existed? Be honest.
