The Apple iPhone 15 Pro has received an important difference from previous models, which most of its owners, fortunately, will never know about – the manufacturer has radically updated the internal chassis architecture, simplifying and reducing the cost of the technical part of the repair. This was confirmed by the authors of the YouTube channel PBKreviews.

During the presentation of the iPhone 15 Pro at the Wonderlust event, Apple specifically focused on the new layout of the device – the manufacturer emphasized that repairing the smartphone has become easier thanks to the “new internal housing architecture”, which “allows you to easily replace the rear glass.” Apple first used this design in last year’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models.
The authors of the PBKreviews review confirmed that to replace the rear part it needs to be heated, it is relatively easy to remove and disconnect the cable from the back of the board. The rear glass houses the MagSafe wireless charging coil, LED flash and microphone connectors. It is also worth noting that the manufacturer’s brand and logo have disappeared from the Apple A17 Pro chip – perhaps the manufacturer did this because of its penchant for secrecy, which helps prevent leaks.
PBKreviews gave the iPhone 15 Pro a 7 out of 10 repairability rating. It obviously doesn’t take into account software limitations that iFixit recently pointed out.
