As part of the Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer explained why the Xbox team decided to release Console Wraps. According to him, such accessories are a good opportunity for players to show their love for certain games, without having to buy a new console in the design of that game. The last time and only time in this generation, Microsoft released the Xbox Series X in a limited design for mass sale for the release of Halo Infinite; there were no other models.
Phil Spencer, in the same interview, confirmed that Console Wraps are in development for the Xbox Series S consoles.
