Swedish Football Federation stated that she will not play against the Russian U-17 national teams:
“England and Denmark said they would not play the Russians. Sweden is following the same path. We made our decision when Russia attacked Ukraine. We do not want to participate in any events together with Russian participants. We will repeat this.”
Sweden has become the 6th country to boycott Russia and UEFA’s decision to allow it into European competitions. Earlier, England, Ukraine, Denmark, Poland and Latvia declared their reluctance to play against terrorists.
