Czech Football Federation commented on UEFA’s decision to allow Russian U-17 teams to participate in international competitions.
“The Federation took into account the decision of UEFA to allow the participation of Russian U-17 teams in competitions on neutral territory, without a flag, anthem, or national colors. The permit applies exclusively to this age category.
The future technical or game model for the participation of Russians will be considered by UEFA, there are no specifics at the moment. Accordingly, the Czech Football Federation will take a different position, naturally, implementing the decisions of the government and the National Sports Agency regarding Belarusian and Russian athletes,” the federation said in a press release.
Let us remember that several countries, including Ukraine, opposed this decision.
